Charge Your Phone With Physical Activity

The most consistent relationship that I have in my life is the one that I have with my iPhone charger. We see each other at least twice a day and some people would say that we shouldn’t have to spend that much time together. If I’m honest, I’d like to spend less time with my phone charger too, but it hasn’t really been possible up till now.

Luckily mypower is the new kid on the block, and I can’t wait to get to know it. The device sits a bit like a pedometer on your belt and captures kinetic energy as you move around. Plug your phone in to the device and it will then transfer all the energy you’ve accumulated to your phone to charge it.

Accumulate 90 minutes of walking to get 3 hours of extra battery life, add in a 45 minute run and extend this to 6 hours of battery life. It also serves as an activity tracker, telling you how much activity you’ve done, how much battery life you’ve accumulated, and sending you feedback and reminders to reach your activity goals.

If you’re walking around the office or the house a lot, why not get something in return for it? Not only do you then have an emergency charge for your phone, but it’s not adding to your electricity bill, and you’re doing your bit to help the environment by reducing your carbon footprint.
